Alex is the founder and director of Vibrant Sounds. He began playing drums when he was only ten years old. At the age of 16, Alex was invited to perform at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (P.A.S.I.C.).

Alex continued studying music and received his Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Performance at Bellarmine University, in Louisville, KY. While at Bellarmine, he began teaching private lessons and found a new passion for helping students reach their goals. He began to explore this new passion and quickly discovered music therapy.

Alex was then accepted to the University of Kentucky where he received his music therapy equivalency. At this time, he received extensive training in working with populations with neurological and physical impairments due to traumatic brain injuries, spinal chord injuries, and diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Alex also has experience in working with individuals who have special needs, terminal illnesses, and hospice and palliative care. Alex completed his clinical internship at the Tampa Bay Institute for Music Therapy. After completing his internship, he then moved to Dallas, TX to combine both of his passions of educating and healing with music.
